Catholic Charities of Philadelphia’s Family Service Centers to Distribute School Supplies to Local Children Across Philadelphia
Catholic Charities of Philadelphia’s (CCoP) Family Service Centers in the Northeast, North, and Southwest sections of Philadelphia will host community giveaway events to provide school bags and supplies to children prior to the upcoming school year.
CCoP’s Family Service Centers are the first point of contact for individuals, families, and parishes when seeking assistance. Five centers are located throughout the five-county metropolitan area. Services include food and diaper pantries, prenatal and parenting support, financial support, connection to public benefits and other resources that help to remove barriers to a healthy family life.
In Northeast Philadelphia, CCoP will distribute 25 school bags filled with essential supplies to local children. The event will also provide recipients with resources for returning to school and homework routine.

Due to limited resources, assistance can only be extended to a pre-registered group. In addition, the event will include a school supply scavenger hunt, light refreshments, and a blessing of the school bags.
In North Philadelphia at CCoP’s Casa del Carmen campus, 100 school bags and supplies will be given away to children in the community.
