Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez To Dedicate Sacre Coeur Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Saint Denis Church in Havertown as an Archdiocesan Shrine
A new chapel for adoration of Christ in the Eucharist, named for the Sacred Heart of Jesus, will be dedicated as a shrine of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on June 12. On the same day, the Archdiocese and the United States of America will be consecrated to the Sacred Heart.
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will celebrate a Mass of dedication and open the new Sacre Coeur Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Saint Denis Church in Havertown as an Archdiocesan Shrine. The chapel, spanning more than 1,500 square feet, will host Catholics and non-Catholics for prayer before Christ in the Eucharist 24 hours a day.

Archbishop Pérez will dedicate the new Archdiocesan shrine to the Sacred Heart (Sacre Coeur, in French) and consecrate the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On the same day, the Catholic bishops of the United States will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
